Missing Canadian Skater: Please Share Widely!
Better known to some as Cheapshot Dot of the Saskatoon Roller Derby League’s Slamazons, and later dedicated founder of a local Rec league, Dorothy “Dot” Woods (nee Carter) has now been missing for two weeks. Her derby family knew something was wrong when she missed a November 16th bout. Woods has been missing since November 12, and was last seen wearing “straight-legged black jeans and a black v-neck sweater” according to this CBC article about a candle light vigil held in her honor on Saturday.
Dot is mother to two children, as well as a wife, and owner of a daycare. If you have any information about Dot, especially about her whereabouts between November 11th and November 16th, please contact the Saskatoon Police at 306-975-8300. Please share this article far and wide to help her family, friends and derby family to bring Dot home safely.
